1/23/15 day 4: Pfullingen, DE

Up at 830 for breakfast and was eventually joined by Peter and then Jeff. Me first at breakfast doesn't happen often so I quietly enjoyed my coffee and typical German breakfast goods in silence.

Out the door at 11. Drove for an hour and arrived in Pfullingen and pulled into the venue, restaurant, hotel Klostergarten. Love the short drives. And love Germany under snow. Very picturesque drive.

We could tell as soon as we walked in that dinner was going to be well above average. The building used to house a brewery so beautiful hand hewn beams and big windows, hard wood floors, etc. Beautiful space. We checked into our rooms and headed off towards town to find some lunch. You won't believe what we found.

This one was good; lamb, cabbage, lettuce, onion, yogurt sauce, red pepper flakes, tomato, in a fresh baked flat bread. Killing.

Town was quiet. Saw a couple folks on the street otherwise it was pretty deserted. After lunch I embarked on a power nap to end all power naps. Woke up with a start at 530. Met downstairs at 6 to help organize the PA and sound check. The venue Gewoelbekeller is below the restaurant. The old ice storage cellar for the beer. Really nice stage, lights and sound. Very comfy vibes. After sound check we enjoyed an amazing dinner. I got the schnitzel with the spƤtzle. So so good.

We hit at 830 and did two sets. Felt good. Crowd was totally in. Lots of stand outs; Crumble, On My Own, 1000 Little Pieces. On My Own was performed for the first time tonight! Felt great to drop some new material.

After the set we rapped with folks and eventually the acoustic guitar was busted out by Peter and a short jam session ensued. A bunch of folks promised to show up in Herrenberg on the 7th which is another great venue. Tour is off to a great start. Excited about it!
