1/28/15 day 9: Freiburg, DE

Today was the big day. The day of our showcase at the Kultur Börse; 20 minute set for talent buyers and agents. I was a little nervous, not in our ability to perform these songs, but like the car would brake down on the way there or I'd bust a string mid tune. Anyway, we headed out for breakfast at 10:30. Our spot is the Uni Cafe right next to a bunch of the university buildings. Had this little beauty:
Banana and Nutella crepe.

On the road by 11:30 to the big hall/auditorium where the Börse is happening. It's in a facility a little north of town. I could see the tall dorms of the Stusie where I lived in '97 off in the distance to the south.

We met with Tommy at his booth around 12 and coordinated with the sound guys. We were the first act so we were able to get in early and have a proper sound check which was HUGE. We got the room sounding juicey and had a minute to chill.

The set went by in a flash: Crumble, Moving in Slow Motion, Dance With Me, Love Song and then Bid You in the audience. Well recieved. Felt really good and sounded really good.

We checked out some of the other acts and then hung out at the booth for a bit and around 3 headed back to the apt for some lunch. Peter and I opted for Currywurst mit Fritten. Always a favorite. It's basically a white sausage lathered in curry sauce, paprika and grilled onions. So good.

Promptly went down for a nap after that. Rallied with the guys at 7. We walked around the corner to Martins Bräu which is a little brew pub by Martins Tor. It's cool. Not my favorite, more of a tourist spot, but split a pitcher of their Dunkel and rapped. Met Tommy back at the apt at 8 and we all went over to Feierling for dinner. Had a nice long sit down about the Nov tour and 2016 and had some good laughs. Tommy is good people and on top of his game. On the walk back to the apt, we passed Isle of Innesfree which is an Irish Pub right off Augustiner Platz. It was Karaoke night so we all decided we needed to check it out. Holy gut buster... We had a ball.

This is Peter doing a little Outkast and getting the crowd MOVING.

Too funny. Jeff rocked some Journey and Peter and I dueted on some Oasis. We were all rolling on the floor. Such a fun night.

Looking forward to the tour starting back up tho! It's time to get back to work.
