1/27/15 day 8: Freiburg, DE

We hit breakfast at a little cafe by the Uni around 10:15. I got Flammkuchen which is a regional savory dish; most like a pizza but lighter. Definitely an aggressive order but I wasn't sure when I would get it otherwise so I went big.

Met Ray Austin, booking agent extraordinaire of Wodan Halle in town and musician, at Martinstor at 11am and walked over to his house just west of the new student library. Our task was to sing vocal harms to his song "Just the Blues." We crushed it. Obvi.

Afterwards, he took us out to lunch for Indian food and then coffee. We said goodbye and went back to the apt to clean up and head to the Messe where the Kultur Börse was taking place. We ran into Tommy first thing and got a lay of the land; where we r performing tmrw, some of the other acts, etc. The Messe is huge; loads of agents, acts, managers. Felt like a cross between NACA and burning man as Jeff described.

Just another freaky scene at the Börse.

Tommy, our agent, threw a party at his booth at 6 where we ran into a couple friends/booking agents we have worked with in the past. The area where his booth blew up; people everywhere. Beers flowing. Folks lighting up smokes. It was like all the rules were thrown out the window. We played a couple tunes acoustic before leaving back to town for dinner at 730.

Grabbed a Döner at Euphrats in town; my fave Döner joint and then dropped off the guitar at the apt on Fischerau Strasse. We met Tommy at Schlappen at 10:30 and had a drink and game planned before calling it a night. Chill night because we have a HUGE day tmrw; we showcase for the presenters. Totally stoked!!! We r gonna kill!!!

Night.
