11/14/15 day 15: Neuruppin, DE

Up at 6 for no good reason. Turn on the TV and hear about Paris. Thoughts and prayers to France today. The fact that a lot of the terror happened at an Eagles of Death Metal (an American band) show hits home. This shit needs to stop.

Somber breakfast at 9 with the guys and then we hit the road at 10:05 headed NE to the Seehotel Fontane in Neuruppin, which is about 45 min outside of Berlin.
We rolled up a little after 2 and promptly dropped our bags in our rooms, threw on bathrobes and hit the spa. The spa here is so sick. It just takes a moment to get used to the fact that it's coed and naked... It was relaxing though after the shock of seeing so many middle aged Germans naked and really perfect for my chest which has been fighting a little cough. I should be all good now! Hit the sauna, the steam room, and the heated pool outside. There was definitely a moment in the pool where I stopped to thank the universe for my good fortune. To be here, making music, with good friends.

Walked down to the lobby at 6:30 after spending some time watching the news. I'm still in shock. Something needs to happen.
Great picture, but not the right names...

Sound check was quick. Afterwards dinner in the main restaurant.
Romantic to say the least. The buffet was seafood inspired; lots of salted fishes, pasta with seafood, and an amazing selection of cheeses. Not to mention an amazing bottle of French red wine.

We finished dinner around 8 and hit the stage around 9. We played to about 30+ folks and I'd say it was a success. We did one 75 min set and then sold merch and mingled. Afterwards we sat in the very comfortable bar and recapped over Pilsner. I'll be honest... This is a hotel lobby gig but unlike any U.S. Hotel lobby gig, they offer us dinner, accommodations, dinner, breakfast, and set up the PA. We also have tmrw to lay low and regenerate.

I'm already looking forward to the spa tmrw and a killer day off. Gute Nacht von Neuruppin.
