10/11/14 day 4: Ebersbach, DE

Woke up with about 10 minutes left of breakfast. Found Jeff and Peter breaking their fast in the enclosed patio. Very modest spread of cheese, sliced meats, brötchen, coffee, yogurt, and musli. Do you see a trend?

Finally got online for a minute and had time to upload the blog from yesterday. We were on the road by 11:45.

Short drive to Ebersbach, relatively speaking (1.5 hrs). It was a nice drive and one that I could enjoy as we added Jeff to the rental car insurance which is a welcome change from the other tours.

We wound our way through a string of small towns. We are so close to the Czech border some of the street signs are in both languages.

Hotel Hainberg sits on this little hill. It's a super quaint spot run by this sweet lady. We got our rooms situated and went back down and had a righteous late lunch.

After lunch everybody crashed out hard for a nap. Still getting my internal clock set correctly.

Arrived at the club at 6 and met Leiche the sound guy and Renee the owner. Cool spot. Super sweet folks, great sounding room.

We enjoyed a touch of wifi in the green room before the set and hit at 9. Nice little crowd, including Olga, our friend from Slovakia who drove 10 hours w two friends to see the show. We are planning some shows in Slovakia next April. Very excited about that.

The set went really well. We played our asses off. We all agree that Moving in slow Motion was a musical highlight. That one felt really good.

At set break we met Manu, Reneé's wife who runs the bar. She shared w us her homemade egg liquor (from her own chickens) served in chocolate shot glasses. It was unreal! Definitely the liquid highlight of the night!

After the set, we chatted w folks and signed CDs. Felt great about the night. Leiche the sound guy kept telling us that he had goose bumps during our set. High praise indeed.

Debriefed back at the hotel. Another good night for the books. We will certainly be back.
