5/10/12 day 15: Cadiz, Spain

At some point during the night we sailed through the straits of Gibralter.

Woke up early today to escort an excursion to a traditional Bodega called Tradicion. They hand bottle sherry and brandy. It was a beautiful facility with a killer private art collection. They even had Picasso's work on display. We tasted some Sherry and brandy and snacked on manchego cheese and sardine filled olives. We got back to the ship and I had a couple hours to kill so I took a self guided tour of this really cool old city. They say this is one of the oldest cities in Spain and you could see it in the architecture... Lots of roman and moorish and gothic stuff to see. It actually reminded me of what Havanah would look like, or what I've seen in photos and movies. I walked past tiny store fronts that were no larger than closets to find a locals only bar. I even found my first (of many to come) kebab shops and had my first taste of heaven.

I made it back to the ship in time for a short nap before my sets. I am starting to get repeat customers at my shows which is awesome. I even get requests for my original material. Hadn't played barrelman, penthouse in Denver, and "don't look close" in weeks. It felt good to dig into those tunes again.

Tomorrow we will be in Portugal, new territory for me. Already have plans to head out into the city (can't recall the name) and see the sights.
