5/1 day 6: Livorno, Italy

Another day of meetings and trainings. How to properly use a ladder. How to squeal like a little girl when jumping over board, and so on. What I really want to know is if you can use a life preserver as a hula hoop...

More rain today too. Haven't seen this much rain since I lived in Aachen in '94. Note to self, buy a rain coat.

We docked in Livorno today but because it was may 1st everything was closed. Still, took a short little walk with my colleague Chris from Manchester. We walked for about 20 minutes in the rain and then found a cafe for an espresso and free wifi.

Back on the ship now. Already worked out in the gym and ate dinner. Let me tell you, running on a treadmill on a rocking boat takes talent, dedication, and balance.

Got an easy night tonight. Apparently the charter folks have hired a magician for this evenings entertainment so the "house" musicians have it easy.

We are already on our way to Sorrento. My bed is like three feet from the anchor, or at least, that's what it sounds like. How thin these walls....
