04/15/13 day 14: Stuttgart, Germany

Guten Morgen meine Damen und Herren!

The tour began today with another lovely breakfast t the hotel. The sun was already up and quickly warming the square outside. Such a nice change from the rain and cold in Denmark. I unearthed my sunglasses even.

Around noon we assembled together in Jeff's room and rehearsed. With the windows wide open overlooking the patio of neighbor restaurant 'Dolce,' we ran through all 16 tunes for the show tonight. Every once in a while, we'd get looks from the patrons below who could hear the music. We debated grabbing our instruments and serenading the guests outside, but voted it down.

Around 2pm Steffen the MC for tonight's radio show appeared and went over some of the details. Usually, you don't want the first show of a tour to be recorded, let alone broadcasted to thousands of people, but we aren't afraid...

We got to the radio station a little after 5 and did a quick sound check and had a bite to eat. For our first time in the area, we were really happy with the turn out: the mayor of Göppingen even showed up to listen! And we nailed our set. Really proud of Peter and Jeff. The harmonies sounded great as did the instruments. We pulled it together and knocked it out da park, yo!

Really excited about the tour now. It's sounding amazing and will only continue to improve.
