4/23/13 day 22: Marburg, Germany

It was a long drive to Marburg today; about 5 hours. It was easy to tell that Marburg was a cool city. The autobahn followed the valley to our exit. We passed university buildings and a couple live music venues. We knew immediately that this town knew what was up! Marburg also has an understated "middle ages" element. The "ober stadt" surrounds the castle and the old cathedral. It was such a shame that we didn't have enough time to check out the city. After sound check was dinner, and then show time was at 8:15.

We played a great set, had a great turn out, and the atmosphere was perfect. Couldn't have asked for much more.

We crashed at Christian's apartment. Christian and Steffan run the music program at the venue. Back at Christians apartment that looked upon the castle, we listened to music and talked culture, politics, and life. A great hang...

I will come back to Marburg. A great night of music! Can't wait to check out this city.
