We had some free time before load in, so we went on a walk towards downtown. We made it the edge of the 'alt stadt' before we had to turn around and head back. We all thought a nap was in order so we headed back to the hotel. The guys are still dealing w jet lag, I just like naps.
Sudpunkt is a relatively new cultural center that has live music as well as other performances throughout the year. It was a really nice room with a great stage, great sound, and lights. They took great care of us.
We were really happy with the turn out tonight. It was a mix of younger and older folks and we heard from multiple people that they heard about us from the Sudpunkt Facebook page, researched us on Spotify, and came to the show. Thats how it should be, but for some reason, it happens so rarely. There were even requests from the latest album including "Been Too Good" which we hadn't rehearsed, but we nailed it!
I was really pleased with the performance. Peter and Jeff are killing it. I can already hear that we are getting tighter. Can't wait to hear these tunes at the end of the tour.
Life is never just affirming, positive experiences though. It's always both good and bad. My life isn't any different, although I might try to make it sound all good in the blog. Life happens; beautiful and ugly. My heart is heavy tonight and will be for a long time.
